Founded in 1925, Volkert is celebrating a century of serving our employees, clients, partners, and communities.We are currently searching for an experienced Senior Roadway Engineer/Project Manager to support our Gulf Region located in Mississippi and/or Tennessee .Candidates should be based in or open to relocating to Mississippi or Tennessee.What you'll be doing:Provide plan review and project management for DOT and local municipal projectsCoordinate project activities, schedules, and reporting for assigned workPrepare, issue, and track project documentation, including contracts, change orders, and client approvalsDevelop correspondence and documentation for clients, vendors, and regulatory agenciesSupport project financial processes, including invoices and purchase ordersPrepare and edit meeting minutes, reports, and presentationsAssist with project submittals and bidding activitiesProvide technical and administrative support to the project teamSupport client relationships and contribute to business development with local municipalitiesWhat you need to have:BS in Civil Engineering from an accredited four-year college or university10+ years of experience in roadway designPrevious DOT experienceProfessional Engineer (PE) licenseProven ability to meet DOT standards, schedules, and budgetsProficiency in OpenRoads (Geopak experience preferred)Strong knowledge of DOT design methods, standards, and specificationsDemonstrated experience managing medium to large, multi-office, or concurrent projectsAbility to pass a pre-employment drug screening to ensure a safe and productive work environment.
