The Electrical Engineer will work directly within an active construction environment, supporting project execution through coordination, field inspections, and quality assurance oversight. This position requires close collaboration with contractors, engineers, and government stakeholders to ensure compliance with project requirements and construction standards.Limited local or regional travel may be required in support of project needs.Benefits Health insuranceDental insuranceVision insuranceLife Insurance401(k) Retirement Plan with matchingPaid Time OffPaid Federal HolidaysRequired Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or related field (required; no substitutions)Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred, but not requiredOSHA 30-Hour Safety Certification (required)Minimum 5 years of experience supporting major construction projects in a construction management, inspection, program controls, or construction administration capacityExperience working in active construction environments performing inspections and coordinationStrong understanding of electrical systems within construction projectsU.S. Citizenship required (for clearance eligibility)Preferred Qualifications Experience supporting federal or VA construction projectsFamiliarity with construction management processes and documentation workflowsExperience working in healthcare or other highly regulated environmentsKey Responsibilities Support construction activities through coordination with contractors, project teams, and VA stakeholdersPerform field inspections to evaluate installation quality and identify non-conforming workReview electrical systems and ensure compliance with contract documents, codes, and specificationsAssist in managing construction documentation, including RFIs, submittals, and change ordersSupport schedule and progress tracking, including evaluation of work in placeParticipate in project meetings and provide technical input as neededEnsure adherence to safety standards, including OSHA and project-specific requirementsSupport QA/QC efforts throughout the lifecycle of construction projectsCompensation is competitive and commensurate with experience and qualifications.
