This role is essential to delivering efficient, high-quality care and a positive patient experience. You will work chairside with the dentist, ensure clinical areas are fully prepared, and help keep daily operations running smoothly.The right candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and confident in both clinical and patient-facing responsibilities. You take initiative, communicate clearly, and contribute to a team environment that prioritizes excellent care and professionalism.ResponsibilitiesGreet patients warmly and escort them to treatment roomsPrepare patients for treatment and ensure their comfort throughout the visitReview procedures and post-op instructions, answering patient questions clearlyTake and update medical histories and vital signs accuratelySet up, break down, and sterilize treatment rooms and instruments according to protocolProvide chairside assistance during exams and proceduresMaintain strict infection control and OSHA compliance standardsTake dental radiographs (as permitted)Support front office tasks, including scheduling and charting, as neededQualificationsAssociate's degree from a CODA-accredited dental assisting program (or equivalent experience where applicable)Current Mississippi Radiology PermitKnowledge of dental procedures, instruments, and infection control standardsStrong computer skills and familiarity with dental practice management softwareExcellent communication, organization, and multitasking abilitiesProfessional, team-oriented attitude with a strong focus on patient care
