An employer in Biloxi, MS is looking for a Jr. Mechanical Engineer to join their team in support of a federal contract they have over the next 7 years.ResponsibilitiesPerforms the design and development of construction drawings and develops specifications for MEP systems for construction or rehabilitation of existing structures.Evaluates projects to determine the most appropriate and economical systems to serve a facility.Prepares original design and preliminary and final layout of MEP projects, including size, capacity, and economy.Participates in final on-site inspection.Performs contract-related services such as writing scope of work, site surveys, contractor selection, negotiations, construction performance monitoring, product design, design review of internal and external A/E designs, and evaluation, inspection and acceptance of bids.Prepares detailed independent government estimates.Required Skills and ExperienceBachelor's degree in mechanical engineeringMust have an active EIT certificationAt least 6 months of experience within MEP designCan obtain a CAC cardNice to Have Skills and ExperienceFacility design experienceDoD design experience#J-18808-Ljbffr
