Job Summary We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Dental Office Manager to oversee daily operations and ensure the practice runs efficiently, compliantly, and with a high standard of patient care. This role is responsible for managing administrative functions, optimizing workflows, and supporting both clinical and front office teams.

The Dental Office Manager will lead and support the team while fostering a strong, consistent focus on delivering high-quality patient care. Responsibilities also include supervising and coaching staff, maintaining regulatory compliance, managing vendor relationships, controlling expenses, and ensuring all equipment and systems are functioning properly.

The ideal candidate brings a solid background in dental office operations, including hands-on knowledge of dental assisting and insurance protocols. They are highly organized, communicate effectively, and have a proven ability to implement and improve systems that enhance productivity, patient satisfaction, and overall practice performance.

Responsibilities

Manage the calendar of appointments and meetings

Oversee the training and development of the team

Collaborate with the owner to create, update, and maintain office procedures

Ensure that the office equipment is in good working order

Pay and record invoices

Negotiate contracts and pricing with vendors and service providers

Accurately maintain the office budget

Ensure credentialing of insurance is completed in a timely manor

Qualifications

High school diploma/GED required, some college preferred

Previous experience as a Dental Office Manager or similar position preferred

Understanding of office equipment, systems, and procedures

Strong knowledge of dental insurance and prior authorizations required

Skilled in Microsoft Office, Excel, and Outlook

Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize multiple tasks

Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

Excellent verbal and written communication skills
