Reports To: Principal

Pay: $15.00/hour

School-Year Hours: Monday-Friday, 7:15 AM-3:00 PM

Summer Hours: Tuesday-Thursday, 9:00 AM-12:00 PM

Position Description

The Receptionist serves as the welcoming first point of contact for students, families, visitors, and callers. This position manages the front office and entrance, directs visitors appropriately, supports school administration and faculty, and assists with a variety of clerical and student-related responsibilities. The ideal candidate is professional, organized, comfortable with technology, and able to manage multiple responsibilities while maintaining strict confidentiality.

Qualifications
  • Previous secretarial or receptionist experience required.
  • Proficiency with Google Workspace, including Google Docs and Google Sheets.
  • Strong computer skills and ability to learn and navigate digital platforms and student information systems.
  • Associate's degree preferred.
  • Previous experience working in a school, academic, or educational setting preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of student, family, and school information.
Major Duties & Responsibilities
  • Receive telephone calls, visitors, students, and families in a positive and professional manner.
  • Answer and monitor the front door and direct visitors appropriately.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, professional, and welcoming front office and reception area.
  • Provide administrative and clerical support to the Principal and faculty as needed.
  • Assist with student arrival, dismissal, and car line responsibilities as assigned.
  • Collect, organize, and maintain school forms and orders, including picture day forms, permission slips, lunch information, T-shirt orders, and other school-related documentation.
  • Maintain accurate student attendance records.
  • Support the admissions process by maintaining applicant files, collecting required documentation from families, scheduling interviews, and assisting with family communication.
  • Support communication between families and Lighthouse Center for Diagnostics throughout the evaluation process.
  • Order administrative, office, and other school supplies as needed.
  • Prepare documents, correspondence, forms, and other materials using Word, Canva, Google Docs, and related programs.
  • Create and maintain spreadsheets as needed.
  • Assist with basic first aid for students and communicate with parents when necessary.
  • Maintain organized electronic and paper records.
  • Perform additional administrative and school-support duties as assigned.

Schedule & Compensation

  • Pay: $15.00/hour
  • School Year: Monday-Friday, 7:15 AM-3:00 PM
  • Summer: Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, 9:00 AM-12:00 PM
