The Mississippi Department of Child Protection Services has a position available for a Supervisor position within Centralized Intake Screening Unit. This position will be remote-work status and can be housed in their county. This Social Service Supervisor position will support the Centralized Screening Unit for MDCPS, at State Office. In this position there will be sensitive information that is required to be handled confidentially in order to protect the client's rights, identity and privacy. The person in this position is responsible for receiving, reviewing and assessing reports of suspected child abuse and neglect. This involves gathering detailed information from reporters, evaluating the information to determine if it meets criteria for investigation, and ensuring reports are documented and screened promptly. This position plays a critical role in protecting children and assessing family needs by ensuring reports are screened appropriately and routed for investigation when necessary. Consulting with supervisors when reports require additional review or guidance. This position requires vital efficiency in handling a wide range of tasks, in a fast-paced work environment, that will include but is not limited the following job responsibilities:

Preferred Qualifications Requires a Bachelors' Degree and 3-5 years of experience and 1-3 years of supervisory experience, and require MS social worker's license.
