About the Position: The Employee Services Coordinator serves as a first-level professional Human Resources representative responsible for coordinating recruitment administration and supporting employee services operations at East Mississippi State Hospital. The position has primary responsibility for managing recruitment activity within NeoGov, including requisition entry, applicant and selection workflow support, status updates, documentation, and recruitment reporting. The Employee Services Coordinator also manages the Request for Recruitment process for all EMSH units by receiving, reviewing, tracking, and maintaining required documentation from initial request through approval and posting. Working under the direction of the Employee Services Manager, the incumbent collaborates with hiring managers, Compensation, and HR leadership to ensure recruitment requests are complete, accurate, timely, and processed in accordance with EMSH, DMH, and MSPB requirements.
What you'll need to be Successful: To be successful in this role, the Employee Services Coordinator must demonstrate strong organization, attention to detail, technological proficiency, and the ability to manage recruitment documentation and system workflows accurately. The employee must be able to track multiple requests, identify missing or inconsistent information, communicate clearly with hiring departments, and follow recruitment actions through completion. Success also requires dependability, sound judgment, responsive customer service, confidentiality, and a commitment to maintaining accurate NeoGov records and a consistent Request for Recruitment process across EMSH. Preferred Qualifications Typically requires a bachelor's degree and 0–2 years of experience, in accordance with Mississippi State Personnel Board standards for Human Resources Generalist I. Preferred: Experience using applicant tracking systems, recruitment databases, Microsoft Office, spreadsheets, reporting tools, or electronic workflow systems is preferred. Experience in human resources, recruitment coordination, public-sector employment, healthcare administration, or records management is also preferred.
