Part-Time News Production Assistant

WXXV-TV, a Morris Multimedia station, has an immediate opening for the position of part-time news production assistant. Responsibilities include:

• Editing video for daily newscasts
• Creating graphics for broadcast
• Assisting with audio and video playback in the control room
• Operating studio equipment and production systems
• Supporting all aspects of news gathering and production
• Learning and mastering multiple areas of broadcast operations

Qualifications:

• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to perform well under pressure during live broadcasts
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn
• Dependable work ethic and reliable attendance
• Ability to follow detailed instructions
• Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Interest in news, current events, and broadcasting

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous television or media experience
• Coursework or degree pursuit in Broadcasting, Communications, Journalism, Media Production, or a related field
