Job Summary:

Southern Tire Mart is seeking a seasoned Human Resources Manager to lead our enterprise-wide HR strategy. This individual will oversee all HR operations, and UKG system optimization for a growing, multi-state workforce. The ideal candidate is both strategic and hands-on—capable of driving compliance, enhancing employee experience, and ensuring accurate and efficient HR operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Human Resources Leadership

· Align HR strategies with business goals and foster a positive, compliant, and performance-driven culture

· Lead initiatives in recruitment, onboarding, retention, succession planning, and engagement

· Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws

· Coach and advise managers on employee relations, performance management, and disciplinary issues

· Oversee company-wide policy and handbook development and consistency

Compensation, Benefits, and Reporting

· Design and manage competitive compensation structures and pay practices

· Support benefit programs and open enrollment in partnership with vendors

· Provide executive dashboards and compliance reporting for HR and payroll

· Lead audits of HR records as needed

Qualifications

· Bachelor's degree in business administration or related field.

· 5+ years of progressive HR leadership experience with multi-state oversight

· Strong understanding of wage/hour laws, payroll tax regulations, and HR compliance.

· Proven leadership in change management and cross-functional collaboration Preferred

· Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills

Work Environment & Schedule

· Based at our Columbia, MS Corporate Office

· Must be able to commute to the corporate office daily.

· Occasional travel required to locations across the country

· Occasional extended hours during audits or key projects
