Beauvoir, the historic Jefferson Davis Home and Presidential Library on the beautiful Mississippi Gulf Coast, is hiring for full-time and part-time Maintenance Technicians. This is an excellent opportunity for a reliable, honest, hands-on person who enjoys varied building maintenance work in a unique historic setting.

Position Details

• Full-Time Position: Includes a freshly remodeled 2-bedroom, 1-bath on-site house located near the maintenance shed (a major benefit that significantly reduces your living expenses).
• Part-Time Position: Flexible hours available.

Responsibilities

• General building maintenance and repairs (electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry,  etc.)
• Routine and preventive maintenance on historic structures, museum buildings, and grounds
• Minor renovations, painting, and handyman tasks
• Light grounds work and facility upkeep
• Responding to maintenance requests across the property
• Small engine repair, lawn equipment maintenance, automotive repair, golf cart maintenance 

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• General knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, and basic building systems
• Prior maintenance or handyman experience is required!
• No professional licenses needed (though any are a plus)
• Ability to work safely with hand/power tools and independently
• Reliable transportation and valid driver`s license
• Must pass pre-hire drug screening and random drug screening
• Must pass full background check
• Strong work ethic and pride in maintaining a National Historic Landmark
