Description:

Paralegal Position Available

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented paralegal to join our legal team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a passion for law and a commitment to supporting attorneys in delivering top-notch legal services. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in assisting with legal research, case preparation, and document management, contributing to the smooth operation of our law practice.

As a paralegal in our firm, you will be responsible for a variety of key tasks. Your day-to-day duties will include conducting legal research, drafting important documents like pleadings and motions, and maintaining organized case files. You will assist attorneys with trial preparation by gathering and preparing exhibits, coordinating witness interviews, and ensuring that all documentation is accurate and up-to-date. In addition, you will manage court filings, schedule meetings, and communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and other parties involved in cases.

We are looking for candidates who meet the following qualifications:

  • A paralegal certificate or relevant degree is a plus but not necessary.
  • 3 years of paralegal experience is a plus, ideally within the bankruptcy and/or criminal law, is preferred, but we can train you.
  • Proficiency in legal research, including the use of databases such as Westlaw or LexisNexis, is essential.
  • Strong writing and organizational skills, along with a keen attention to detail, are a must.

In addition, candidates should possess excellent time-management abilities and a proven track record of working in a fast-paced environment. We value professionalism, discretion, and teamwork, and are seeking a paralegal who can handle confidential information with care while collaborating effectively with attorneys and other legal staff.

While not required, we would prefer candidates who have experience in criminal law and bankruptcy, additional certifications such as Notary Public, or fluency in a second language are a plus. Experience working in a law firm or other legal setting will also be an asset.

Our firm offers a dynamic and supportive work environment, with opportunities for growth and development. If you`re ready to bring your legal expertise to a collaborative team, we encourage you to apply.
