We're a real estate closing office. When someone buys, sells or refinances a house, they use our services to walk them through the process. We receive referrals from real estate agents, lenders/banks, and other clients. Keeping everyone as happy as possible is our goal. "People skills" and a "can do" attitude are valuable traits to have in this business. If you don't like working with people, this is not the job for you. This is a very niche industry - not really something you can learn in school. If you have some simple math skills (adding, subtracting, multiplying, dividing), you can succeed and do well. Being organized is a must. Basic computer skills like emailing and typing are needed as well. The job of a real estate closer is a learn-as-you-do process and training is provided during this job. Experience is not necessarily needed, nor is a college degree. In fact, there are many real estate closers and paralegals along the Gulf Coast that have been doing closings for years, stuck in their ways, and they're just horrible - cranky, mean, entitled, etc. - they drive business away. It's a pretty fast-paced job if you're doing it right. The workday really goes by quickly, and it's rewarding in that you're helping people with one of their major-life decisions.
